An armored mobile police vehicle designed for urban riot intervention.
The prowlie measures 7 feet wide by 13 feet long. It seats four officers in the front compartment. The prowlie's rear section is designed to hold the arrested. The back gate can fold down to accommodate the injured. All windows are armored glass equipped with retractable wire grills.
The roof is equipped with a small turret which fires gas grenades in fragmenting glass cylinders. Grenade range is 60 yards. Prowlies are also equipped with oil jets which can flood a city street in emergency situations. The oil can then be ignited, forming a wall of protective flame around the prowlie. This of course is a last ditch effort.
Defensively, prowlies are vulnerable to land minds, three bolt gun hits striking within 2 inches of each other, or the total collapse of a good sized building.
Prowlies sometime work in conjunction with paddycopters. These armored air vehicles are equipped with nets to carry off rioters.
