Eptification

A popular term derived from the acronym EPT (Education for Particular Tasks).

Eptification is an expensive and somewhat classified conditioning technique which can produce an expert from a layman in a week's time.

Eptifying often involves a variety of drugs. The first round dissolves perceptual horizons so that no preconceptions or prejudices dilute the learning process. Other drugs stimulate the auditory and tactile memory. (EPT makes good use of live lectures and demonstrations.)

Some specialty drugs may also be administered specific to the task at hand. A potential assassin may be given drugs to stimulate the kinesthetic faculty. Thereby, the subject would become "painfully" aware of the relative position of his limbs.

During training, other drugs are administered to cause lessons to "reverberate" in the working memory. This causes the lesson to become deeply entrenched, as if you had heard it repeated verbatim a thousand times.

The actual training sessions are usually one-on-one lectures with field experts. Ancillary subjects relying on rote memorization may be handled through sleep teaching.
