Well Red Scots

Guy Aldred: Historical and traditional Christianity

As a boy, Aldred had strong Christian beliefs (though somewhat unorthodox ones) and was a boy preacher at the age of 16. He later became an atheist, although many of his writings have a religious theme. At the age of 20 he wrote Historical and traditional Christianity (1907), a pamphlet which delineates his changing thoughts about Christianity. It was published by the Bakunin Press in London in the 'Pamphlets for the proletarian' series.
