About Prominent Anarchists

this page is still under construction

So as not to cause any misunderstandings and also to explain better what anarchism is, it is necessary to explain the purpose and meaning of these Prominent Anarchist pages.

"No theory, no ready-made system, no book that has ever been written will save the world.
I cleave to no system. I am a true seeker."
- Bakunin

Anarchists are opposed to dogmatism. Although famous anarchist thinkers might have written and done things which many people find just, intelligent, truthful, and inspiring, we would never advocate following someone's ideas dogmatically and unquest ioningly; rather, we believe that everyone should think for themselves and decide for themselves what is right. As Errico Malatesta said: "We follow ideas and not men, and rebel against this habit of embodying a principle in a man."

Anarchists are opposed to leaders. no cult of personality etc.

these pages are just here because interesting, educational, historical, good example

ideally everyone would be on this page, because all anarchists are just as important as the most famous ones. etc.
This listing will never take into account the millions and millions of ordinary people who, being disgusted with the present situation of humanity and envisioning a better society have devoted their lives to acheiving it. This web page is dedicated to all those who have and still are struggling against domination and fighting for a free society!

Some of the anarchists on the page were assholes and might not have had completely anarchist ideas and actions. Gandhi beat his wife. Proudhon was racist and sexist.

etc.
